2006 Harvest Celebration and Customer Appreciation
On October 22, 2006 we invited our customers to brave the weather and join us for a day at the farm. The main meal consisted of homemade chicken and biscuits and beef stew. The meat was off the farm and the veggies were from Native Offerings Farm in Little Valley, NY. Warm apple chutney with whipped cream made the kids and adults smile. John Kudla from Avenue Sausage Boys provides wonderful tastings of the sausage he makes. Beer was provided by Flying Bison Brewery.
The
kids got to ride farm equipment, get muddy and
enjoyed being close and personal to the farm animals.
Their parents got to appreciate where food comes from and the time, love and dedication that goes into it.
A special thanks to those who participated to make the event enjoyable for everyone. David Setzer from Slow Foods USA, for creating the yummy stew with Flying Bisons Beer and tweeking the chicken stew. John Kudla and his wife Karen of Avenue Boys Smokehouse for the extra sets of hands getting things set up and keeping everyone happily munching. Phil and Bob and families from Flying Bison. Stew and Deb for the organic veggies.
